10am-2pm | Family Pyrate Day, a FREE community celebration!

This event invites "pirates and landlubbers alike" to immerse themselves in a day of maritime magic, live music, and local culture. The day features a high-energy lineup of performers dedicated to the art of the sea shanty and children’s programming, including: The Scurvy Baratarians (delivering rowdy, foot-stomping pirate tunes), The Confetti Park Players (New Orleans’ own beloved kids’ choir performing whimsical originals), Dave Famous (the pirate troubadour regaling the crowd with traditional tales and songs), and NOLA Pyrate Society (separating "Pyratical Facts & Fiction" for curious minds of all ages).

Beyond the music, families can navigate a Treasure Hunt hosted by the Friends of the Hubbell Library, get hands-on with crafts by Confetti Kids, learn about nautical knots with the pirate La Basse, or browse the curated antique collection at Bargeboard.
