At sunset on March 19, the Black Masking Indians of New Orleans don their elaborate suits of beads and feathers in neighborhoods throughout New Orleans and play out ritual confrontations with song and dance.

Below is video from St. Joseph's Night 2024 as the 9th Ward Hunters met up with the 9th Ward Seminoles, their Big Chiefs confronted each other, eventually made peace, and then they went their own ways, to meet other tribes downtown and uptown.
