Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Musical Service, led by Cantor Rebecca Garfein and Rabbi Daniel Sherman.

The MLK Community Shabbat Service will feature special music and multi-cultural choirs to remember the life and legacy of Dr. King. The evening will feature children’s choir New Voices New Orleans, along with Shades of Praise Gospel Choir, Joyful & Spirit of New Orleans Choir, Progressive Baptist Praise Team, and NO FEAR - afterschool youth music program.

Also participating will be members of the Klezmer All-Stars and Panorama Band, under the musical direction of Cantor Garfein. In addition to the powerful and uplifting music, Director of Jewish Multicultural & Governmental Affairs Aaron Bloch and Reverand Dr. Johmyrin Johnson of The Progressive Baptist Church, will deliver remarks.
