On Saturday August 30th at 5pm the Ben Gordon Freedom Caravan will be holding the Peoples Speakout on the Unfinished Business of the Katrina Recovery in the area just outside the front entrance to New Orleans City Hall on 1300 Perdido.   

This is an open mic event free and open to the public.  The starting point for this discussion is a recognition that public services-public hospital beds, public housing units, public schools- in New Orleans today lag far behind what existed in the city on August 28th, 2005.  An awareness of this situation points to the question of what needs  to be done to restore public services in New Orleans to pre Katrina levels.
