In honor of the 20th  anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, the Free Agents Brass Band will re-release their seminal album, Made It Through That Water, on August 22, 2025.

Originally written, recorded, and released in the years following Katrina, the Made It Through That Water re-release features new liner notes by music scholar Kyle DeCoste, who traces the group’s formation and the context that shaped the album. In a groundbreaking move blending nostalgia and archival storytelling, the album will also include expanded liner notes on a custom View-Master reel, showcasing intimate photos of the band in performance and in post-Katrina New Orleans.
