Sue Ford, keyboardist and vocalist, is the frontwoman for DiNOLA and a major instigator in the rock/punk band Pink Slip (and counter band the Gnarltones), as well as leader of “Mardi Gras’ First Rock Band,” performing on floats in several parades (Ford is a scene designer by day). A Boston native, Ford transplanted to New Orleans early on and eventually connected with a host of like-minded musicians, including California-based Dave Catching, husband Jimmy Ford, Susan Cowsill, Eddie Payne, and Eric Laws. DiNOLA, a blues-goth-rock band, may be best known for their hit, “I Wanna Die in New Orleans.”
