Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots, the nation’s third-oldest racetrack, has been in operation since 1872. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility with sportsbook; a thoroughbred horse race track; and 15 off-track betting parlors that offer video poker and HHR games throughout southeast Louisiana. The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival has taken place at the Fair Grounds Race Course since 1972.

Upcoming Shows

Various clubs will be leading second line parades at the 2026 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell. Mardi Gras Indians, Baby Dolls, and many brass bands will also be present, performing onstage and parading throughout the Fair Grounds! Check out the lineup at nojazzfest.com.
