The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, in partnership with the New Orleans Film Society, brings James Whale’s Frankenstein (1931) to life on the big screen with a riveting live score by composer Michael Shapiro. Matthew Kraemer will conduct.

This groundbreaking film tells the haunting story of Dr. Henry Frankenstein, whose daring experiment to reanimate life from the body parts of the dead gives rise to one of film’s most enduring figures—the Monster. As the chilling tale unfolds, Shapiro’s powerful score amplifies the drama, suspense, and humanity at the heart of this legendary classic.
