At the Gala the BMOL will be honoring Seven-Time Grammy Winner Terrence Blanchard ( BMOL Lifetime Achievement Honors), Singer and Master of Strings Practitioner Detroit Brooks (BMOL Life Time Achievement Honors), Trumpeter Wendell Brunious (BMOL Jazz Legacy Honors), Mrs. Wanda Rouzan (BMOL Jazz Legacy Honors), Master Trombonist Freddie Alonzo ( BMOL Jazz Legacy Honors), Bandleader and Trumpeter Gregory Davis (BMOL Lifetime Achievement Honors), and Joe Cushenberry Jazz Guitarist and Banjo Player (BMOL Jazz Legacy Honors). 

The Gala will be held in The Sheraton's Armstrong Ballroom. Artists include Herlin Riley Quartet, Dilliard University Gospel Choir and Dirty Dozen Brass Band
