New Orleans Jazz Museum
Located at the foot of Esplanade Avenue, the New Orleans Jazz Museum, located in the Old U.S. Mint, is a national historic landmark that is part of the Louisiana State Museum system.

You can hear great music from some of New Orleans’ best contemporary artists in the state-of-the-art performance venue on the New Orleans Jazz Museum’s third floor. The Museum uses the space for evening programs, solo and small group concerts and special events while the New Orleans Jazz National Historic Park offers daily live music programs for local residents and visitors to the Museum. 5-8pm | The Ella Project presents The State of New Orleans 20 Years After Katrina: A Panel Discussion moderated by Lolis Eric Elie.
Panelists include Big Chief Howard Miller, Delfeayo Marsalis, Bruce "Sunpie" Barnes, Tamara Jackson, Jordan Hirsch, Fred Johnson, and Edward Jackson.
This panel discussion will explore how artists and culture bearers have helped carry the city forward through disaster, recovery, and a rapidly changing landscape - while facing mounting challenges such as gentrification, affordable housing, the insurance crisis, the pandemic, and more.
