Paulin Brothers Traditional Brass Band

Paulin Brothers’  Traditional Brass Band is a family tradition: the Paulin sons carry on the legacy of their father, the late Ernest “Doc” Paulin, a pioneer of the traditional New Orleans jazz sound. Doc Paulin’s Original Dixieland Jazz Band was a fixture in New Orleans for some seven decades, and his sons, led by trumpeter Philip Paulin, carry on the musical legacy, from old-school uniforms to skilled musicianship. In addition to Philip, other brothers include Dwayne on trombone, Roderick on tenor sax, Rickey on clarinet, and Aaron on bass drum. The group can be heard at second lines and other New Orleans street parades and in clubs and at festivals around the city and the world.
