Casa Samba

Casa Samba is a multi-member percussion and dance extravaganza that celebrates the rhythms, songs, dances, and costumes of Brazil, and the connections between that country’s traditions and New Orleans. A Casa Samba show is a celebration of Afro-Brazilian culture, and may include Bateria (percussion), Passistas (dancers), Mardi Gras Indians, Baby Dolls, and stilt dancers. The group also engages in educational activities for young people, and advocates for Carnaval culture awareness.
