The Afrodiziac's Jazz

Best known as a local New Orleans Jazz Band "with a twist", The Afrodiziac's Jazz and their sound have developed and grown in popularity since 2018, multiplying shows and collaborating with incredible musicians as Tony Allen and Mike Dillon. Influenced by the community, culture, and sounds of Mulatu Astake and other Ethiopian jazz composers, as well as other African music, and juxtaposed alongside jazz fusion, bebop, and a diverse array of the many influences of each member. Featuring tenor saxophone, baritone sax, trombone, keys, bass, and percussions, they provide intricate rhythms, bombastic horn lines, and tasty grooves tempered with jazz sensibilities and a focus on improvisation. They perform music that speaks to fans across the musical spectrum. Their signature style has become synonymous with a diverse collection of melodies and compositions.
